EDIBLE SEED

EDIBLE SEED is a musician at heart, but it wasn't until his wife presented him with a pineapple shaped ukulele that his hobby, ironically, took a serious turn. With those four strings, he found his voice. His songs are deeply personal, at times political and musically influenced by a wide range of artists.

Never afraid to dabble in any instrument, Edible Seed records wherever he can, often in unconventional places.  He lives and works in Los Angeles and spends his free time on "The Land" in Shelby, Michigan.

We Are Serious

by Curtis Street Ensemble

The Curtis Street Ensemble is an ever evolving musical project started 20 some years ago. Pedro Logan, Edible Seed and Starrio Dewarrio are old friends. Everyone lives in a different city. They rarely talk but always communicate with one another. The result is “We Are Serious.”

Sick Bro

by Curtis Street Ensemble

Fifteen years after the creation of “Curtis Street Ensemble,” Pedro Logan and Edible Seed were still walking the line between the ridiculous and the real.  Neither PL or ES are trained musicians. By stretching the imagination, manipulating technology, and worshipping the muse that they do not control, they created a timely record about the state of “manhood” in the 21st century.

THE LAND

by Pedro Logan & Edible Seed

Pedro Logan and Edible Seed live in different states, thousands of miles apart.  Technology has allowed them to collaborate from great distances, but being in one place together can offer great creative advantages.  "The Land" is comprised of three new tracks recorded in Shelby, MI. and a handful of remixed songs from Pedro Logan's "A Collection Of Ideas Born in Sound"

Edible Seed

Life moves fast and sometimes changes almost overnight.  After the birth of his daughter and a slew of musician friends leaving L.A., Edible Seed was left with little free time, a house full of cheap instruments and a notebook full of unfinished songs.  He forged ahead when he could and spent two months on "The Land" in MI, sometimes recording in his truck in the woods during nap time.  The result is his first solo project.

ES is supported by constant collaborators Pedro Logan and Dan D.

PEDRO LOGAN

Limited instrumentation, basic production, and lyrics filled with raw, heartfelt emotion highlight Pedro Logan's recordings.  A deep love and understanding of many musical genres and a willingness to wear his heart on his sleeve, bring Pedro's songs to life.

Hummel Drive

by Pedro Logan

Hummel Drive is where Pedro Logan lives and records.  Technology brought him back to making music, but a sense of place has always been important to his work.

The Hummel Drive EP is comprised of two covers and one new original track.  Logan greatly admires the immediate and unrefined nature of  Man Man and Thee Oh See's, but has managed to smooth out the edges so the songs fit his own personal narrative.

A Collection Of Ideas Born in Sound

by Pedro Logan

A Collection of Ideas Born in Sound presents a snapshot of life in a transitional phase. After many years away from making music, Pedro Logan finally returned to expressing his ideas through sound.

The Honest EP

by Noodle Water

At its core, Noodle Water is folk music.  It is steeped in traditions started on back porches across the country.

When Dan D. and Edible Seed first met, they did not know they had a common interest in music.  It took years before the songs started flowing.

The Dan's Van Band

Edible Seed, Jeremy Wesley, Dan D, Whit Vogel

Edible Seed was playing drums in a garage funk-band when he started writing songs on his Ukulele.  He presented the songs to his bandmates, some of whom appreciated them.   He met Dan D. and The Dan’s Van Band was born.  Though short lived, TDVB represents a very happy and productive period of music making.

The Curtis Street Ensemble

Burt Curtis, Ollie Curtis, Curtis (C.C.) Curtis

Born in "The Big House" basement, The Curtis Street Ensemble never shied away from their innate weirdness.  It was 1999. Ween was still on Elektra, and terrorism barely seemed relevant.
